That One Time in Concepcion

My aunt and uncle have shoe repair shops here in Temuco, so every once in a while they need to make a trip to Conce (Concepcion) or Santiago to get all their materials. This time I followed them to Concepcion. We got up at 5:30 and didn't get back home until around midnight that same day. It was incredibly exhausting, but probably one of the best days I've had so far. Four of us went on this mini road trip together. Both aunts, Tio Nano, and obviously me. Our first stop was at a giant warehouse full of leather, soles, heels, zippers, sting. Everything you'd need to make a shoe from scratch.

The first thing I help out with was finding heels. Did you know that there is a right and left side for high heels and that each one can come in four different sizes? Yeah, random information, but it might come in handy some day.

After helping my uncle count half-soles, or something like that, I found my future truck. Its giant and dates back to around WWII. The best part is that it still runs and can have a cool name like "Ol' Blue."

Its engine is like a third passenger! It just sits right in the middle of the dash!
I didn't get a picture, but right before lunch I got to hang out with my friend Claire! it was only for a half an hour, but it seriously made my week. How crazy is it to be in the same city as someone you know thousands of miles away from home!? I still haven't spent an entire weekend with her. It needs to happen ASAP.
We ended up going to a buffet in the mall. The best part of buffets is always the dessert. This time was no different. They had Arroz con Leche. I don't remember the rest of the meal, just that ending part. It was AMAZING. (Eating that in Spain is probably one of the things I remember the most too.) haha

SO COOL!
