That One Day In By The Beach

Today I went to the beach (Puerto Saavedra) with some family. It takes about an hour or so to get there from their house. We went with the intention of getting lunch at a seafood restaurant run by the locals of the area. There was so much on the table; I definitely over ate and didn't even get through half my plate. One thing I love about Chile is the over abundance of dogs. They are everywhere--on the street in people's houses, and even on 8 foot walls. Though some might be dangerous, most of them are so CUTE!
This guy had the best begging eyes I had ever seen ><
Since we were right by the beach, we stopped to watch the ocean waves and freeze our butts off at the same time. If it were snowing it would have made more sense than the beautiful bright sun. I had the thickest layers on that day than any other day here. The beach was mostly made of smooth stones tied together by chicken wire. It created the coolest levels/ steps. The steps were relatively steep and required some climbing ability or someone strong to pull you up. The waves left foam on the beach that was about a foot high at some places.

On the way back I finally got a picture, in Carahue, of what the weather typically looks like during and after dusk. The south gets so foggy that it can become dangerous to drive very quickly. That day in particular the fog made the landscape more picturesque. I couldn't stop thinking about the closing scene in "Pride and Prejudice" when Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth walk towards each other at dawn.
Sarah and Halie, look at what I found! There were actually a ton of these spread out in the entire city. They're giant and I would have stepped out of the car to take a picture with one, but it was cold and I was tired.
